I stepped outside before anyone needed anything from me. The air was still deciding between night and day. Just a sliver of cool. A soft gradient where pink meets blue. I stood there in my robe and sandals, not thinking about work, or groceries, or whether I’m doing enough. Just me and the sky, both of us in transition.
